Hub Ogden was a city editor and reporter for the Lincoln Journal Star in the early 1950s before transferring to an editing/reporter position at the Omaha World Herald where he continued his career until his death in March, 2015. Ogden corresponded with scientists on the Condon committee and was the primary reporter in the Ashland, Nebraska case of Officer Herbert Schirmer. Ogden's family donated some 82 UFO books, 122 vintage periodicals and newsletters, teletype transmissions and personal correspondence with noted UFO authorities, including news clippings from 45 states and 20 foreign countries. This massive collection was donated as a result of a phone call to the Omaha UFO Study Group on World UFO Day, July 2, 2015. The Hub Ogden collection is being shared in feature page installments on the Omaha UFO Study Group Patreon page.
